Salina Cruz Mission Report January 18-27, 2014

WP_20140124_007Hey there friends and family,

This mission trip was different from the previous three trips to Salina Cruz, Mexico.

First, I traveled without my normal traveling companions for they, had their own missions from the Lord to complete. When I look back, I see that it was all in the plans of the Lord. Many times, things happen in life that you can't quite wrap your mind around. Questions arise like, why did God allow this or that to happen? David once said, "why do the heathens rage and the people imagine a vain thing?"(Ps 2:1) This life is filled with questions from both believers and unbelievers alike. The different is, we trust him even when he is silent– at least we are supposed to.

My dear friends, Eduardo and Isaul, picked me up from the Airport on Saturday, January 18, 2014 — two wonderful servants of the Lord, so full of love and honor. They take the books of the bible and bring them alive. They were truly lay-down lovers of the Lord. This was true of many believers I met on this trip. Eduardo and his wife Gaby recently became pastors and founders of a new church plant. Three years ago, there was a prophecy in which the Lord called them to lay down their lives for his little ones. I'm so pleased that they obeyed the heavenly vision. Isaul and his wife Rosalba are senior pastors in the the city of Salina Cruz, so filled with "The Father's Love."WP_20140119_018

Amazing prophetic and healing ministry flows from the two of them. These two couples were the backbone of our introduction into the city of Salina Cruz.

Sunday night was the first service at Eduardo & Gaby's church (El Mesias church). We witnessed several people (approx. 13-14) make a decision to follow Christ. Many were touched by the power of God– One lady's leg grew out even with the other, another little girl who had pigeon-toed feet straightened out. A young lady (who later became a believer), asked for prayer– the glory of the Lord fell on her so powerfully and struck her to the floor while standing. Her mother later came and helped her move along.
Nearly that entire family gave their lives to the Lord. After the meeting, the manger of the facility was touched by the Lord and treated us to dinner. One of the waitresses for our table came by; a troubled look awash her face. Gaby ministered to her– after which she made a decision to follow Jesus. Later on that week, we led her entire family to the Lord.

During the mornings, I spoke at three private schools– A confirmed 300 students and 20 teachers said yes to Jesus during those meetings. Some time later, I attended
a symposium with a small group of leaders, businesses and pastors– The topic was Fathering The Next Generation and Kingdom Mandate. The meeting went very well. Another evening, we met with a group of men from a church-sponsored rehabilitation center. The meeting was held in a city called San Mateo del mar, where many were touched by The Lord. All was going well– up until we were struck with a city-wide power outage. But God gave us a backup plan– throughout the facility, people took out their cell phones and illuminated the area with their lights. Jesus did say, "You are the light of the world…….. (Matt 5:14)." 🙂WP_20140125_014

We visited some children at The Orfanatorio el Pimpollo (Orphanage). The Caretaker, Patricia Gonzalez, is a beautiful woman of God who achieved much with very little. It was my group's first time to the orphanage; they were moved by what they saw. The father loves the orphans (James 1:27). We walked, danced and worshipped with the children. Soon after, Pastor Meyer shared a rich, wisdom-filled life testimony that I know blessed the children. Additionally, Pastor James & Shirley Dudley's congregation made a substantial donation for a playground for the kids. The local pastors will work out the construction of the playground. Thank you Lord!

We had many meetings throughout the city of Salina Cruz, making new friends and renewing past relationships– many were saved and touched by the Lord. For example, Pastor Casildo Martinez, who was healed two years ago of a complicated neck injury, was restored full mobility of his neck. He and his wife are now pastors of a growing church in the city of Aviación. Incidently, they started a second church among the Wabi Indians. We also made a trip to San Mateo del Mar and visted with Pastor Angel at "Celebrating of the King Church". His method of ministry is deeply rooted in the New Testament– such that led him to minister to some seriously demonized people. One such person is Javier– his family was heavily involved in the occult. Javier has to be chained to the wall– yet it had not stopped him from climbing up and ripping the chains from the wall in the past. When we saw him this year, However, he was doing somewhat better.

The evening services were powerful. We ministered to the Wabi Indians; many were healed and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit as recorded in the book of Acts. Afterwards, we had a fellowship meal with the church. Saturday night was the concert– Martine and his family led us in worship for over an hour. It was amazing time– some soloists, drawn by the presence of the Lord, continually made their way to the altar. There were many pastors that participated and made the concert and evangelistic campaign successful. We witnessed salvations, healings and supernatural encounters. It was a massive endeavor overall– special thanks to all the pastors who participated. I'm looking forward to next year; I imagine greater things for the sake of The Kingdom.

A few days later, we encountered people on the street that were touched by the Lord. Many were healed– some experienced the presence of the Lord for the very first time. The love of Jesus resonated in hearts of the many met on the street. Sunday morning, we gathered at Pastor Isaul's "Oil and Wine church"– some believers from previous meetings came to church and had another wonderful time in The Lord. During the service, ministries were established, pastors had hands laid on them, commissioning them for ministry. Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery (1 Timothy 4:14 KJV).

We concluded the day with a visit to "Centro de Fe Esperanza y Amor" Church, where we had another great time in The Lord. There were several first time commitments to the Lord, a host of re-dedications, healings and baptisms in the Holy Spirit. Through all of these experiences, I believe the name of The Lord was indeed glorified! Thank you Lord for allowing us to partner with you!

And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
