So where can leadership go wrong! People simply don’t follow the scriptures.
The scripture itself tells us to study, learn and apply.
2 Timothy 2:15 KJV
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (AMP)
16 Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action),
17 So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.
There is nothing good about attempting to curse God’s people, who God blessed; nothing good about putting innocent people’s names out as evil, nothing good about mistreating member of the Kingdom of God.
Romans 12:14 (KJV)Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
If the scripture wants us to bless those that persecute us, then why would any Christian leader attempt to curse anyone God Almighty has blessed. This is serious error.
People who leave ministry and church organizations are sometimes called renegades uncovered! I have heard this term used several times. Some even believe it is their job to get the church in order and hunt down these “renegade uncovered” and bring them in. A BIG WOW!
Some may not be aware but God’s Church is really big, and this is small minded thinking and time wasted belief.
Others are called disloyal, Judas, betrayers and as said before those who benefit from this system continue to support it.
Jesus gives his disciples a lesson in the following scripture. Simply that someone who is setting people free, preaching the gospel, getting people saved and filled with the Holy Ghost is not against Him and His Church!
Luke 9:49-50 (KJV)
49 And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.
50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.
We don’t know if the Lord met with this preacher privately the disciples simply did not know about him. We don’t know all that the Lord is doing!
So why would another Christian, Christian Leader, Apostle or Pastor persecute another saint for going to preach the gospel of the Kingdom?
Christians all over believe that their church and their organization is the only one! No doubt there are some great ones, but no one group has it all. We don’t know God’s plans for other people entirely. There are quite a number of church myths that need to be dealt with.
The great Prophet Elijah told the Lord, he was the only one!
1 Kings 19:13-18 And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?
14 And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
Elijah actually makes this statement three times!
15 And the Lord said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria:
16 And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.
17 And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.
18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.
Wow! The Lord had 7,000 prophets in Israel that Elijah did not know about!
…we know in part.
