Spiritual Leadership Part 6…….September 10th, 2013…….by Pastor Stan Smith

God is love. We are His children and we should be children of love.
Pastors/leaders have to be examples of love. Pastors also need the spiritual enablement (anointing) of a pastor or it will not work without that anointing. We can do many great things yet if our acts are not done in love, it will not profit us. Great power, great position, great prestige, without love does not profit us. Look at these three verses from the Love Chapter.
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 (AMP)
13 If I [can] speak in the tongues of men and [even] of angels, but have not love (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such, as is inspired by God’s love for and in us), I am only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
2 And if I have prophetic powers and the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all knowledge, and if I have [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but have not love (God’s love in me) I am nothing (a useless nobody).
3 Even if I dole out all that I have [to the poor in providing] food, and if I surrender my body to be burned or in order that I may glory, but have not love (God’s love in me), I gain nothing.
What will that loveless leader receive when he/she are judged for their works? It is a scary thought. How can we say we love God who we have not seen and do not love the people He gave you to shepherd? This is not acceptable to God!
Many leaders/pastors who hold the position and title of Pastor were not designed by God to be a pastor and don’t have a pastor’s anointing. Out Of Place Saints can cause a lot of trouble. Out of place Apostles, Prophets, Evangelist, Pastors and Teachers is just trouble. Then the other tragedy is the O.O.P.S. masquerading as an apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor or teacher. When this is in effect the people of God are not properly nourished and developed and their growth is stunted and progress is retarded.
No, I am not an angry man. This is a topic that needs to be discussed.
